Quality Manager Job Description
Role
Monitoring and advising on the performance of the Quality Management System, producing data & reporting performance, measuring against set standards
You will need to liaise with other managers & staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the QMS is functioning properly. Where appropriate you will advise on changes & how to implement them & provide training, tools & techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
You will be required to oversee any warranty work. Liaise with customers when quality issues arise & put in place corrective actions & also establish that they are effective.
Responsibilities
You will be expected to;
- Devise, establish and monitor the companyÂs quality procedures, standards & specifications
- Work with the purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers setting standards for quality.
- Look at ways of reducing waste & increase efficiency.
- Defining quality procedures in conjunction with the operating staff.
- Setting and maintaining controls & documentation.
- Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data & producing statistical reports.
- Making suggestions for changes & improvements & how to implement them.
- Using relevant quality tools & making sure that managers & other staff understand how to improve the business.
