Troy Foods: Our New Appointments

This month we’ve had a few new starters at Troy and we are super excited to welcome them on board! We are proud to support our ever-growing family and encourage our friends and followers to welcome them to our fantastic community!

New Trojan: Kerry Wilkinson!
Kerry has joined the HR team as our new HR and Recruitment Assistant. Born right here in the heart of Yorkshire, Kerry describes herself as fun, bubbly and very outgoing! Kerry is a mum to her beautiful little girl (8-year-old Mia) and to her 2 cats, Ellie and Jess.
We asked Kerry some arguably important questions and here’s what she said! 
Q. If you could only eat one vegetable for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A. ‘’Cauliflower… if it had cheese sauce on!’’.

Q. What are your favourite cuisines? 
A. ‘’Chinese and Italian’’.

Q. What’s your favourite thing about Yorkshire? 
A. ‘’The down to earth Yorkshire people, definitely’’.

New Trojan: Richard Saltis!
Richard has joined the Finance team as our new Cost Accountant. Though currently living in the south of Yorkshire, Richard enjoyed an exciting 5 ½ years in Canada during his teen years (we’re already very jealous!). Richard describes himself as an adventurous person who loves his family and food, with a penchant for Pici Toscani. Like Kerry, Richard is also a cat lover (well, he claims ‘tolerator’ but we’ve used poetic licence) but says that feline diva Tilly, doesn’t listen to anyone!
We also asked Richard some key questions and here’s what he told us.
Q. Who is the most inspirational person to you?
A. ‘’My grandad. He inspired me to have no fear and try new things. He loved to cook and always had something new for us to try form his travels – this has definitely inspired me to be the same way with my family’’. 
Q. If you could only eat one vegetable for the rest of your life, which would it be? 
A. ‘’Potatoes, because you can make so much out of them – especially Vodka!’’.

Q. What’s your favourite thing about Yorkshire? 
A. Yorkshire Puddings! They’re good hot, cold, sweet and savoury.

New Trojan: Debbie Craven!
Debbie has also joined the finance team as our Assistant Financial Accountant. Debbie was born in the Leeds area and has lived here all her life, you could say she’s a true Yorkshire ‘home-bird’! Debbie describes herself as polite, caring, loyal and also… a runner! Yes, we are proud to say that Debbie is now entering her first ever 10-mile race and we are super excited for her! Whilst time commitments have restricted Debbie and her family from having any pets, Debbie says she would love a horse (note, her husband is not quite as keen!) and her daughter would quite like a cat. It looks like these feline creatures are winning the heart of our Yorkshire Trojans! 
Debbie was asked some similar questions and remarkably gave some pretty similar answers!

Q. What is your favourite food? 
A. ‘’I love food and will try just about anything, but I think it would have to be a curry!’’.

Q. Who is the most inspirational person to you? 
A. ‘’My dad. Although he sadly passed away 15 years ago, he was always someone who gave good advice and never judged. Definitely one of the most selfless people I have ever known’’.

Q. What’s your favourite thing about Yorkshire? 
A. ‘’The people! We seem to be a good, honest bunch’’.

There you have it! Our newest Trojan recruits who are such interesting and unique people, yet all have similar views and share our own family values! We cannot wait to see where their Troy journey takes them and we’ll be here to support them every step of the way.
