Made in Yorkshire are delighted to announce that Alan Norbury, Industrial CTO for Siemens PLC will be hosting a guest seminar from 10:30am in Room 1 at Manufactured Yorkshire on Wednesday 10th May.
The biggest exhibition in the Yorkshire region will provide guests with an opportunity to join over 1,000 decision-makers from the Yorkshire manufacturing supply chain, OEM purchasing teams and our exhibitors.
Alan will be talking about: ÂSolving the customisation conundrum and will examine the question: How do you ÂMass Customise at the same speed and quality as traditional mass production?
Digitalisation is placing increased pressures on manufacturers; so thereÂs an expectation from consumers for products to be designed and manufactured to individual requirements. The Automotive industry is a great example of ÂMass CustomisationÂ. Every car is manufactured to Customer specifications and produced on the same production line as everyone elseÂs customised car.
Alan started his career as an Apprentice in Siemens Congleton in 1978 moving into the role of Technical Specialist for Siemens automation and low voltage products. In 1992 Alan spent time in Germany acting as Global Account Manager for key accounts such as Philip Morris & ICI.
Alan established a team of Application Specialists in 1997, a team of pre-sales technical consultants positioned across UK and Ireland whose main focus was to provide advice on the best use of Siemens Industrial technologies.
Made in Yorkshire Director Chrissie Gale stated: ÂWe are thrilled that Alan will be delivering an important seminar at Manufactured Yorkshire. Digitisation and Industry 4.0 are huge considerations from manufacturers, so I am certain it will be very interesting to learn the best way to Mass Customise for our guests.Â
