Appris Management has appeaIed to Made in Yorkshire members to support efforts to get young people in Bradford to more interested in engineeringvand manufacturing as a career.
The Bradford District Apprentice Event, taking place at Bradford City FC on November 22, is aimed at Bradford-based Year 10 & 11 students looking for careers and skills information (link here).
Bradford has not had such a big event for some years and if they can replicate the attendance of the Leeds First Direct area, then hopefully it will raise awareness of young people choosing engineering and manufacturing.
Appris has taken a double stand for a small fee of £100 and it would be great to see as many MIY members as possible to promote the sector across the region. It may also be a great opportunity to take apprentices along to help on your stand. We generally find young people enjoy speaking to apprentices instead of staff!
