End of Season Success for Thirsk RUFC U12s Team
Thirsk Rugby Union Football Club U12s Team have finished a very successful season. Sponsored by Industrial Textiles & Plastics (ITP), the team has grown in both size and confidence.
The boys’ consistent effort from start to finish culminated in the last match of the season, with a 9-4 win against Ripon Rugby Club. The core values of rugby - Respect, Teamwork, Discipline and Sportsmanship - have been demonstrated by all the players throughout the season.
Team Manager Anne Hirst said, “The last win was the icing on the cake, well-earned after all the effort put in by the players, coaches, parents and the support team behind them.” At the end of April, prizes for Players’ Player, Coaches’ Player and Most Improved Player in each age group will be awarded at the annual presentation evening.
The Thirsk RUFC team are looking forward to returning in September as Under 13s and another successful season.
