Made in Yorkshire, trade association uniting British Industry, has announced the appointment of Andrew Young who will be the Regional Director for the Yorkshire membership.
The Made in Group team, including Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire, is excited to introduce Andrew to the team who will be looking after the Made in Yorkshire members and recruiting other Yorkshire based manufacturers to be part of the community.
Andrew has worked in technical sales for leading manufacturing and engineering firms for over 10 years. His experience also includes being part of manufacturing support organisations such as the Wakefield manufacturing forum, which focuses on providing supply chain support, interactions between the local community and manufacturing organisations. Andrew said:
" I am really excited to be engaging with our local manufacturers and having physical interaction with members and businesses across Yorkshire. As I have proud yorkshire roots, it would be fantastic to have an impact on the growth and interconnectivity of this integral sector and hopefully contribute to the success of the region as whole".
Jason Pitt, CEO of the Made in Group said:
"We would like to give thanks to James Soden at E3 Recruitment, patron of Made in Yorkshire, for the recruitment advertising and initial interviews to find Andrew. We are extremely happy with this appointment and we look forward to our future recruits from E3. Over the course of the last couple of years, we have made numerous developments to align with the changing times, firstly with the publication of three core pieces of content highlighting the heroism of manufacturing throughout the pandemic, skills within industry and thirdly the virtual exhibition show guide promoting a new way to exhibit more sustainably. Whilst our innovations such as the Virtual Breakfast Mornings have continuously connected our members, we now have the opportunity to recruit and rebuild the Yorkshire leg of the organisation."
We would like to give Andrew a warm welcome to the Made in Group, and look forward to what the future holds.
