Made in Yorkshire member Jungheinrich held a best practice event on Thursday 24th October, giving members the opportunity to learn more about the company and what they have to offer.

Sheffield based company Jungheinrich is a premium manufacturer of forklift trucks, with a range of hire, rental and buying options. The company also manufactures electric and engine counterbalance trucks, reach trucks, pallet trucks and more. However the company’s aim, for the event, was to teach members about the extensive products and services they offer, which goes beyond the forklift range.

Members began to arrive at the event at 8 am where they checked in at reception and were then guided into the networking room. Made in Yorkshire members and Jungheinrich staff began networking in the company showroom where refreshments and snacks were also available.

After some time networking members were then invited to a presentation by Paul Topping Head of Rental and Used Trucks at Jungheinrich. After a brief introduction, the presentation displayed insight into the range of products that the company has to offer.  Paul said:

At our Made in Yorkshire event last week we presented an eleven-minute industry 4.0 video as a means of showing our MiY audience the full breadth of products offered by Jungheinrich. I did a short presentation of Jungstars emphasising the unique quality”

Likewise, with all Made in Group best practice events, members then had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their company with a thirty-second introduction.

As a manufacturer of Forklifts, Jungheinrich wanted to show members the products in action. This saw three forklift demonstrations showing the benefits of buying their equipment. On top of that, this allowed the company to showcase driver capabilities, showing a wide range of services that the company has to offer.

Made in Yorkshire members were then informed of the company’s new online e-commerce shop named “Profishop” that allows customers to buy products for their warehouse with a debit card and have it delivered straight to their premises, changing the perception of what Jungheinrich has to offer.

The event ended with questions from the members on e-commerce and how it is effective, along with questions about the company’s bespoke solutions. Jungheinrich’s Martin Greenway, a warehouse and logistics specialist said:

“We would just like to thank Made in Yorkshire for hosting the best practice event here at Jungheinrich Sheffield, it was fantastic, thank you to everyone that attended. We look forward to holding the next one."
