ABEL Power and Control Solutions Ltd specialise in the design, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of power, control and automation of industrial plants within a variety of industries.
Due to continuing growth, ABEL are looking to recruit a Panel Wirer / Installer. The role will be partly based at our workshop in Retford, and at various sites around the UK for installation work. This ranges from a few days for most projects but can be a few weeks on major installations.
The role will encompass (which applicants will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience of):
- Assembly and wiring of Control panels in open style and MCC formats (to schematics)
- Installation work (containment, cabling and terminating, including armoured cables)
- Panel testing in the workshop
- Installation testing on site
- I/O testing on site
- Electrical commissioning of power and controls on site
- Completing as built / as installed documentation and detailed reports
- On site supervision and coordination of junior staff on installations
- Fault finding on installations
- Service work on site (sometimes at short notice to suit customer requirements)
Other qualifications and/or experience required:
- Previous time served experience in a similar role
- Efficiency and speed of working essential for this type of role
- Qualified to 17th Edition Wiring Regulations or equivalents
- Qualified IPAF would be an advantage
- Qualified Forklift would be an advantage
- Current Driving Licence required
